The Ministry of Welfare announced that the distribution of resources from the Support Program for the Welfare of Girls and Boys, Children of Working Mothers, will take place from May 7 to May 30. The main objective of this program is to improve the living conditions of minors in vulnerable situations due to the temporary or permanent absence of one or both parents.
The payment calendar for the beneficiaries of the support program was recently published. The amount granted can reach up to 3,600 pesos and will be dispersed directly through the Banco del Bienestar cards to all beneficiaries of the social programs of the Government of Mexico.
Ariadna Montiel Reyes, head of the agency, noted that this bimonthly economic support contributes to the well-being and integral development of the beneficiaries, who are mostly working mothers facing vulnerable conditions while taking on the responsibility of the household alone.
The payment calendar is organized as follows: from May 7 to May 30, according to the initial of the name. For example, people whose names start with the letter A will receive payment on May 7, and so on until the last day of distribution.
To access the program, mothers, fathers, or guardians must be working, seeking employment, or studying and not have access to childcare services from public social security institutions. Each household can receive support for up to three minors during the same period, being delivered directly to the person responsible for their care. This measure aims to facilitate access to care and education for girls, boys, adolescents, and young people up to 23 years old who face the absence of one or both parents.
