Inauguration of Mexican Red Cross Collection 2025

The Annual Collection of the Mexican Red Cross (CRM) Jalisco Delegation 2025 began under the slogan "Mexico Donates", seeking the solidarity and commitment of Jalisco society. Present at this launch were Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus and Maye Villa, president of the state DIF. This edition had, for the first time in history, the participation of Carlos Freaner Figueroa, National President of the CRM, and Beatriz Nieves de Freaner, president of the Ladies' Volunteer Group.

At the event, six new ambulances acquired by the Red Cross Jalisco Delegation were symbolically delivered to strengthen operations and increase emergency response capacity in the region. Governor Lemus called for the generosity and social commitment of the community to support the Red Cross, highlighting the importance of contributing as much as possible.

Lemus praised the work of the institution's staff for their dedication and constant effort in responding to emergencies to protect citizens. He emphasized the importance of supporting the Red Cross not only during the annual collection but throughout the entire year. For his part, Carlos Freaner Figueroa, National President of the Mexican Red Cross, thanked for the support in Jalisco and highlighted the work of the local delegation.

Freaner explained that the Red Cross has undergone an institutional strengthening process in the state over the past six months, aiming to provide better service to the population. He highlighted the importance of transforming work and collaboration methods with the State Government, municipal governments, and private initiative to achieve more effective results in emergency response.

Alberto Cabrera Serratos, State Coordinator of the CRM Jalisco, mentioned that new mechanisms for fundraising have been implemented, such as QR codes and banking terminals, in addition to traditional donation boxes. He emphasized that solidarity remains fundamental, but it is necessary to adapt to new times to be able to help more effectively.
