The construction of a new General Hospital Zone is planned for next year. The plan also includes the total electrification of homes through the Federal Electricity Commission, the rehabilitation of the Transpeninsular Highway, and projects to ensure access to drinking water in communities. In the social sphere, the opening of two Centers for Education and Child Care — one in July and another in October — was announced, as well as the issuance of certifications to agricultural employers who meet dignified working conditions, including social security and fair wages. Finally, the governor reiterated that the objective is to ensure that day laborers can access a dignified life, with health services, education, and well-being for their families. What authorities described as a historic event for the region, the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, and the Secretary of Well-being, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, on behalf of President Claudia Sheinbaum, inaugurated the Comprehensive Care Center for Agricultural Workers in San Quintín. The project is part of the Justice Plan for this area and seeks to concentrate federal and state services to guarantee rights, well-being, and dignified care for the families of day laborers. During the event, the state head highlighted that the new center represents an advance in social justice for those who have sustained the development of the countryside in Baja California for years. "It is the materialization of a commitment to justice, dignity, and recognition for those who work the land," she stated. The space will allow for the delivery of government programs, comprehensive care, and support to agricultural workers, one of the region's most vulnerable populations. In turn, Montiel Reyes emphasized that this plan responds to a humanistic vision that seeks to comprehensively address health, social well-being, and productive development needs. As part of the announced actions, authorities informed that the 20 clinics in the area will be rehabilitated and will have more medical staff and a supply of medicines.
