The company Tinder has launched in collaboration with Abrazo Grupal a LGBTQIA+ Dating Guide aimed at promoting safe spaces for the queer community in Mexico. This collaboration seeks to foster an inclusive and fair dialogue among all individuals.
Among the highlighted sections of the new guide are the importance of mental health, shared responsibility, privacy, confidentiality, self-care, community change actions, the option to include pronouns in the profile (up to four from a list of more than 15 options), the Traveler Alert that notifies LGBTQIA+ users when they are in countries with discriminatory laws, and the ability to block unwanted contacts.
According to a recent survey, 60% of the LGBTQIA+ individuals interviewed agree that dating apps have contributed to their self-awareness and identity. For Tinder, the safety of its users is a priority, which is why it collaborates with experts and local safety partners to implement measures in the communities where it operates.
Abrazo Grupal, a project dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, works closely with Tinder on this initiative. The LGBTQIA+ Dating Guide aims not only to promote safety in online dating but also to celebrate diversity and build a more inclusive society.
The guide seeks to be a support resource for all individuals looking for safe spaces for diversity. With nearly 7 billion LGBTQIA+ matches worldwide, Tinder positions itself as an ideal place for the queer community to connect in unique ways, fostering self-discovery.
Additionally, the platform offers over 50 gender identities and sexual orientations globally, providing users with a wide range of options to express themselves and connect with like-minded individuals in a safe and respectful environment.
