Social media has generated intrigue around a new synthetic substance that is gaining popularity among content creators, internet users, and fans of former One Direction member, Liam Payne. This substance, called 'Tusi' or 'Pink powder', has sparked curiosity due to its described effects and its characteristic color. There is concern about the potential health consequences for those who consume it.
'Tusi', also known as 'Pink powder' or 'pink cocaine', has been mentioned on TikTok by certain influencers, generating interest especially among younger users. It has become a trend on social media, which raises additional concerns.
According to the Harm Reduction Intervention program from the Association for Welfare and Development (ABD), Energy Control, 'Tusi' is a powdery pink compound with a sweet smell, created from various stimulant, depressant, and psychedelic substances. Its components include the psychedelic 2C-B and ketamine, which combined with other substances like caffeine or MDMA present serious health risks for consumers.
The effects of 'Pink powder' can last between one and five hours in the body, depending on the specific composition and the amount of substances present. These effects may include mood and behavior changes, behavioral disinhibition, impulsivity, insomnia, anxiety, psychotic thoughts, hallucinations, seizures, and sudden cardiac issues, as noted by the German Clinic. These effects are a cause for concern given their severity and potential impact on the health of consumers.
