The Importance of Cybersecurity in Mexico

Vania Abimelek Orozco Sandi, director of Grupo VINR in Mexico, emphasized the importance of having robust cybersecurity strategies, highlighting that cybersecurity is no longer just a technological priority but an essential component for the continuity of any business, regardless of its size.

In this regard, Orozco Sandi stressed that strengthening digital defenses is a shared responsibility and that organizations must have strategic allies that not only provide technology but also a global vision of the threat landscape and how to mitigate it.

Microsoft, noting that its clients face more than 600 million cyberattacks a day, called on corporations and governments to adopt a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity defense. In its fifth annual Microsoft Digital Defense report, the company warned of an increase in the sophistication of digital attacks, as criminal gangs employ increasingly advanced technologies.

According to the report, stopping the escalation of cyberattacks will require comprehensive solutions that encompass everything from security audits and constant network monitoring to the implementation of incident response protocols.

In this context, Orozco Sandi highlighted the importance of collaboration among companies and cybersecurity experts as a key factor in the fight against these threats, as attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and affecting both businesses and governments. The director also emphasized that cybersecurity services must evolve at the same pace as threats to ensure effective protection.
