On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 23, a serious incident occurred on the streets of the Xochimilco municipality, Mexico City (CDMX). A microbus from Route 20 Tulyehualco-Nativitas ran over a runner, and the driver, identified as Damaso 'N', fled the scene without helping the injured.

Authorities, upon learning of the incident, acted quickly and managed to apprehend the driver shortly after the collision. The case is being investigated by the Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJ), which will take the necessary measures against Damaso 'N'. The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) deployed members of the Tepepan Sector to locate the responsible party and provide assistance to the runner.

The injured athlete, identified as Geovanny, received medical attention from the police present at the scene. Additionally, they requested an ambulance to transfer the injured to a hospital and ensure proper medical care. The situation has caused outrage among citizens due to the driver's negligence in fleeing the accident site without helping the victim.

Although detailed information about Geovanny's health status after being taken to the hospital has not been disclosed, the incident has raised concern about recklessness and lack of responsibility in public transportation, especially on local routes where some drivers violate traffic regulations without consideration for pedestrians and cyclists.
