A man was arrested on the streets of the Xochimilco borough in possession of several doses of drugs. Once intercepted by members of the Civil Security Secretariat (SSC) of Mexico City, he confessed to having placed the body of a person inside a water tank, abandoning it in a nearby lot. The first indications revealed that the victim had wounds caused by a sharp weapon, as well as injuries to the head.
Paramedics from the Rescue and Medical Emergencies Squadron (ERUM) diagnosed the individual as having no vital signs, and the corresponding forensic authorities were informed. The alleged perpetrator and the doses of drugs were presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office agent, who will determine his legal situation and carry out the relevant investigations.
According to journalist Carlos Jiménez, the detainee was identified as Owen Morales and the victim as Raúl. Both met to consume alcoholic beverages and drugs, until at one point in the night, Raúl demanded payment for the substances consumed. A discussion over the lack of money led to an alleged attempt of violation by Raúl, to which Owen claims he defended himself and ended his attacker’s life, hiding the body inside a water tank and later moving it.
In a recorded video, Owen is seen wearing a black t-shirt, shorts, and dark shoes. He passes by a residence where a man is talking to someone inside, and four motorcycles are seen on the street. Minutes later, he walks alongside a mototaxi driver, transporting his macabre cargo without anyone noticing the situation.
The police officers patrolling the San Isidro neighborhood in Xochimilco spotted the suspect, who was trying to get their attention and acted nervously. After finding the doses of cocaine in his possession, the 27-year-old man confessed to having left the body of a 60-year-old man on a nearby land. In response, the police cordoned off the area and searched for the individual, finding him lifeless inside a water container with noticeable blood stains on the head.
