In response to a follower of his colleague Paul Stanley, Van Rankin mentioned: 'Luis Miguel doesn't use WhatsApp or social media; he only communicates by text messages. It has been over a year since I've exchanged messages with him.' According to the television presenter, the last communication they had included a request from Luis Miguel: 'The last time we talked he told me, 'Don't talk to the press anymore, don't talk about me with the media,' and I told him not to say that to me anymore, and he got angry.'
Despite the rumors that arose after a photograph in which he supposedly appears with 'Checo' Pérez, the singer has canceled concerts at Arena CDMX and other locations due to an alleged illness. The event organizers shared a statement on the social media of the venue explaining that the scheduled concerts will be rescheduled on medical advice, without specifying new dates. The purchased tickets will be valid for the new performances.
