
According to the National Water Commission (Conagua), high temperatures are expected in various regions of Mexico this Wednesday. For example, Sinaloa will reach maximum temperatures of up to 40 degrees, while other states such as Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Jalisco, Guerrero, and Oaxaca will range from 30 to 35 degrees.
It is forecasted that five climatic phenomena, including tropical wave 29 and the sixth cold front, will cause heavy to intense rains in the southeast region of Mexico. Tropical wave 29 will move through Guerrero, favoring showers in the southern part of the country. A low-pressure channel over the southeast, along with the influx of moisture from the Caribbean Sea, will cause heavy rains in the region, especially in Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
Meteorological authorities also warn of heavy rains in states like Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Campeche, and showers in Michoacán, Mexico State, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Veracruz, and Tabasco. Additionally, isolated rains are expected in Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Mexico City.
The sixth frontal system will extend in northern Mexico, generating significant wind gusts in Chihuahua, Sonora, Durango, Sinaloa, and Nayarit. Furthermore, the formation of tornadoes is forecasted in Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas, along with wind gusts in Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Regarding temperatures, a cold to very cold environment is expected in the northwest and north of the country during the morning and night, with minimums of -10 to -5 °C in mountainous areas of Chihuahua and Durango. In states like Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, and Mexico City, cold temperatures are also expected, some with frost, during the early morning. On the other hand, a hot to very hot environment is forecasted in various areas of Mexico in the afternoon.
