An electric truck Tesla Cybertruck crashed into a house in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood, located in the Miguel Hidalgo mayoralty, during the early morning of Friday, November 1. Inside the vehicle were two people, with the driver losing control and causing a direct impact against the structure, without causing serious injuries to any of the occupants.

The news of the accident sparked a debate among internet users regarding the effectiveness and durability of the Tesla Cybertruck, which has a stainless steel shell. The price of this model ranges between 2 and 2.6 million Mexican pesos depending on the version. Controversy also arose regarding the braking system of the electric vehicle designed by Elon Musk, which includes retention, anti-lock, and electronic braking.

So far, it is known that there are only 10 Tesla Cybertrucks circulating in Mexico, one of which was involved in the accident. The identity of the driver and their current health status have not been revealed. It was noted that in the videos of the accident, the truck was observed without a rear license plate, which could result in a fine according to the Traffic Regulations of Mexico City.

Failure to carry both plates on the vehicle is subject to a fine that can vary between 2,074 and 3,257 Mexican pesos, according to the traffic law of CDMX. Internet users expressed concern about the safety and legality of the situation, while awaiting more information about the accident to be revealed in the coming days.
