A 27-year-old man was arrested by authorities after stabbing his partner in the Gustavo A. Madero borough. The aggressor's mother was the one who turned him in to the authorities. The incident took place in the Nueva Tenochtitlán neighborhood, where officials from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) were patrolling and were alerted by the Command and Control Center about a dispute on streets Norte 88 and Oriente 87.
The aggressor's mother, 45 years old, informed the officers that there had been a discussion between her son and his partner. Once inside the house, the police found the victim, a 29-year-old woman, on the floor with a chest wound. The woman was taken to a hospital for medical attention. The aggressor was arrested and presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine his legal situation in the coming days, without confirmation on whether he will be charged with attempted feminicide.
The SSC mentioned that the aggressor, in addition to the attack for which he was turned in by his mother, has a history of aggravated robbery in 2022. It is still to be determined how the investigation will proceed and whether the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City will get involved with a gender perspective, as happened recently in another case.
On the other hand, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City reported that it dismantled a drug dealing point in Gustavo A. Madero. After obtaining a search warrant, a house in the Magdalena de las Salinas neighborhood was inspected. Although no arrests were made, substances that could be drugs, such as marijuana, as well as other doses of narcotics were found on the reported site. The property was investigated with the support of the Army, and the area suspected of illegal substance sales was secured.
