New Office for IMSS Bienestar Suppliers

IMSS Bienestar launches the Unique Office for Supplier Attention (UAP) to improve transparency and efficiency in contracts and purchases, reducing fraud risks.

The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) Bienestar announced the creation of the Unique Office for Supplier Attention (UAP), which will begin operations this month. This office will serve as a contact point for entrepreneurs to obtain information about the IMSS's needs for supplies, services, and infrastructure for more than 12,000 health units across the country.

The main objective of the UAP is to improve administrative transparency and efficiency, thus contributing to the fight against corruption in processes. Suppliers are urged to approach the UAP directly to prevent possible fraud and ensure traceability in purchasing and payment processes, eliminating conflicts of interest.

Last year, IMSS Bienestar signed contracts with over 5,000 suppliers, highlighting the importance of having a transparent administrative system. Additionally, the UAP will enable more effective monitoring of committed payments, providing certainty to suppliers who meet the established requirements.

With the establishment of the UAP, it is expected to create a unique communication channel with suppliers, under the supervision of the Administration and Finance Unit, which is responsible for managing funds efficiently and transparently. IMSS Bienestar reiterates its commitment to ensuring clear and efficient administrative processes, eliminating duplication and unnecessary intermediaries.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that no public server or person linked to the institution can guarantee the obtaining of contracts or manage payments. IMSS Bienestar has also warned about the risk of false agents or intermediaries attempting to take advantage of companies by using the institution's name.
