The Ministry of Environment informed that this November certain vehicles in Mexico City and the State of Mexico will have to be verified. Vehicles with green stickers and license plate endings '1' or '2' must undergo verification. On the other hand, vehicles with blue stickers and license plate endings '9' or '0' must also verify before the end of the month.
Verification is a mandatory procedure and is necessary to circulate without issues in the capital and the Metropolitan Area. The cost of this process is approximately 708 pesos, and an appointment must be scheduled through the Sedema website in order to carry it out.
Sedema suspended operations of the Vehicle Verification Citizen Attention Area and the Vehicle Verification Centers or verificentros on November 18 due to the commemoration of the Mexican Revolution. Although the official celebration is on November 20, the day off is moved to the 18th according to current legislation.
Here is a quote from the Sedema statement: "Therefore, the agency requested vehicle owners and drivers registered in Mexico City to take necessary precautions for that day." In case of doubts, emails can be sent to the addresses provided by the Ministry of Environment.
If your car needs to verify in November, remember to meet this requirement before November 30, 2024. And if you were planning to take advantage of the 'bridge' to carry out the verification, it is announced that next Monday will not be a working day, so it is important to plan ahead.
