Arturo García Tenorio, a famous actor of Mexican soap operas, such as 'Carusel' and 'María Mercedes', passed away at the age of 70. Soon after his death, his colleague Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo shared the reasons for his passing.

The acting agency Zuma Talent and the National Association of Actors (ANDA) confirmed the fact of the actor's death and expressed their condolences. 'With deep sorrow, we bid farewell to Arturo García Tenorio, a talented and beloved actor who left an indelible mark in the world of theater and television. His artistic legacy and passion for acting will always live in our hearts,' said a statement from Zuma Talent.

Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo revealed in an interview on the program 'Sale el Sol' that Arturo García Tenorio had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which made it difficult for him to breathe.

Ortiz de Pinedo noted that he talked with a colleague about the possibility of relocating to the Actor's House, which provides a retreat for departing actors since he lived in isolation in the high-risk zone of Ahuisculco, which worsened his condition.

The director of the Actor's House requested urgent assistance from ANDA for Arturo García Tenorio's transport to the clinic, but during his transfer, he stopped breathing and could not continue. Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo described the departed colleague as very sensitive, kind, pleasant, and a trusted friend.

COPD is a condition caused by damage to the respiratory pathways or other parts of the lungs that blocks airflow and makes breathing difficult. It is a progressive condition that has multiple symptoms and can cause complications for health.

Arturo García Tenorio was born on October 7, 1954, and dedicated his entire life to the show business sphere. He began his acting career in 1973, appearing in episodes of 'Chavo del Ocho'. Most famously, he is remembered for participating in Mexican soap operas, such as 'Luz y sombra', 'María Mercedes', 'Viviendo' and others. He also appeared in popular series 'Familia P.
