Julieta del Río Continues Fighting in Mexican Politics

Julieta del Río, a commissioner of INAI, stands out as the only figure still fighting while the rest seem to observe from a distance. Although her ultraconservative movement has supporters who do not underestimate it, nationally it is still more noise than reality. While some already consider INAI dead, Julieta del Río remains steadfast and insistent.

Amid various mixed reactions, Trump's decision on the border is generating polarized opinions. Some applaud the measure as a solution, while others dismiss it or criticize it strongly. Additionally, there are those who expect an intervention from the U.S. that seems more fantasy than reality. Eduardo Verástegui, a known far-right figure and presidential aspirant, did not hesitate to support Trump's decree, claiming a supposed closeness to him.

The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, did not remain silent in response to the emergency decree signed by Trump. She defends the existence of INAI and debunks the fake news that has caused alarm among the population, such as the million-dollar fines for installing security cameras in homes. Meanwhile, Sheinbaum and her party are seeking to find a way out of the situation.

Sheinbaum, with a carefree attitude, mentions that the same measures as always are being implemented, referring to those carried out in 2017 and 2021. Despite everything, she remains firm and grateful for the support.
