A notice of intent was submitted by the "Marea Rosa" and the National Civic Front (FCN) to the National Electoral Institute (INE) to create the political party "We Are Mexico," whose official presentation is scheduled for this Wednesday at the Tlatelolco Convention Center. The initiative, promoted by the civil association "Adding People," includes holding district assemblies for its formation. The initial slogan of the new party is "We are millions, a new force to lead the future of Mexico."
Among the promoters are prominent politicians such as Guadalupe Acosta Naranjo, Fernando BelaunzaRán, Beatriz Pagés Rebollar, Enrique de la Madrid, Gustavo Madero, and Emilio Álvarez Icaza. Other personalities include activist Adrián LeBarón, former presidential candidate Cecilia Soto, political analyst José Antonio Crespo, and the former executive secretary of the INE, Edmundo Jacobo Molina, who has supported the constitutive campaign through videos disseminated by the FCN.
The National Civic Front protested against the INE for denying them the auditorium for their first political act, where they planned to present the official name, slogan, logo, and institutional colors. So far, 28 notices of intent have been submitted to form new political parties in Mexico, including proposals like Republican Mexico, Democratic Party, MURO, Migala Party, Renace, and Evolución, among others.
One of the initial challenges for the party "We Are Mexico" will be to compete with more than 40 registered trademarks that share its name, which could pose advertising conflicts with the owners of those registrations. We hope to have more details about the official launch of the party at the Tlatelolco Convention Center this Wednesday!
