The National Civic Front and different civil organizations, such as the Pink Tide, have formally submitted their request to the National Electoral Institute to create a new political party called "We Are Mexico." During the presentation of the documentation before the INE, a public event was held at the Tlatelolco Convention Center.
At this event, citizens and political leaders such as Guadalupe Acosta Naranjo, Emilio Álvarez Icaza, Gustavo Madero, and Edmundo Jacobo Molina outlined the main objectives of this new political force. Guadalupe Acosta Naranjo presented himself as the general coordinator of We Are Mexico and clarified that former senator Xóchitl Gálvez and businessman Claudio X. González are not involved in this effort to promote a fundamental change in the country.
During the presentation, it was announced that the party will be named "We Are Mexico," with the motto "The force that unites us," and that its logo will be pink, a result of extensive consultation among organizations and participating citizens. Despite not having the participation of Xóchitl Gálvez and Claudio X. González, it was stated that all legal requirements will be met to obtain registration, with citizens ultimately deciding to grant it.
Acosta Naranjo mentioned that Xóchitl Gálvez decided to remain in civil society, not actively participating in the new political party, despite showing solidarity with the cause. Regarding Claudio X. González, he clarified that he chose not to be part of the initiative from the beginning and was never involved. Additionally, there was a warning about potential pressures from the government to hinder the registration process by the INE.
