Neighbors of the Coyoacán municipality and members of the National Action Party (PAN) symbolically closed a gas station on Canal de Miramontes in the Coapa area. This is a Pemex service station where the price of Magna gasoline is 25.49 pesos and Premium is priced at 26.99 pesos, making it one of the most expensive in Mexico City.
The president of PAN CDMX, Luisa Gutiérrez, highlighted that this action against rising fuel prices is taking place simultaneously in various parts of the capital. She argued that it is the responsibility to protect families from such abuses. She criticized Morena for not keeping the promise to reduce gasoline costs and stated that the party will seek legislative solutions to support the city's residents.
In her speech, Luisa Gutiérrez lashed out at the federal government and Morena, accusing them of failing to keep their electoral promises and harming citizens economically. Héctor Barrera, general secretary of PAN, denounced that the increase in fuel prices is a retaliation against those who have not voted for the party at various times.
The event was attended by local deputies from PAN, such as Olivia Garza, Federico Chávez Semerena, and Ricardo Rubio, as well as council members from various municipalities, militants, and citizens. In conclusion, the so-called 'gasolinazo' has generated strong rejection in the community, which demands concrete measures to alleviate the economic burden on urban families and support vulnerable sectors such as students and single mothers.
