The Morena party at a national level expects to enroll 10 million citizens, while in Nuevo León the figure would be 300 thousand plus one, informed Anabel Alcocer, president of the party in the state. Alcocer recalled that 12 years ago, the enrollment of Morena at a national level began, with former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador being the first member.
Alcocer highlighted the citizens' interest in joining the party and stated that everyone is welcome to participate actively in the different tasks of the party. The enrollment process will be conducted house to house, as indicated by López Obrador.
Any Morena member, including mayors, deputies or senators, can enroll others during the visits that will take place. An interview will be conducted to gather the general information of the interested parties, as well as to explain the various ways they can participate, such as promoting and defending the vote, being part of sectional committees, and receiving political training.
Anabel Alcocer assured that personal data will be protected in accordance with the Data Protection Law, and will only be used for enrollment and subsequent credentialing purposes. To enroll, only an electoral ID is required. Visits to households will take place throughout the year.
