Doubts about the alliance between the Green Party and Morena in Nuevo León

Arturo Escobar, national leader of the Green Party, met with Edgar Salvatierra, leader of the party in Nuevo León, and local legislators to discuss the possible alliance with Morena in that state. Escobar expressed doubts about this alliance at the state level, despite assuring that the alliance remains strong at the federal level.

"There is only a commitment at the federal level, in the state elections we will go case by case... In Nuevo León the party is at its best moment in its history," Escobar stated during the meeting. Salvatierra, who had previously reached agreements with a leadership that has lost strength, commented on delays in the management from the past year.

The importance of avoiding delays in resources allocated to municipalities was emphasized, with the aim of not affecting their operability and, consequently, the citizenship. In light of budgetary difficulties, Escobar urged to avoid partisan conflicts in the distribution of funds, pointing to the state government as part of the problem.

In the context of these discussions, the history of alliances between the Green Party and the PRI in Nuevo León was mentioned, and how the dependence of several municipalities on state participations highlights the sensitivity of delays in resource distribution. The need for timely delivery of funds for the proper functioning of local administrations was stressed as crucial by Escobar and others present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, it has been suggested that the possible dissolution of the alliance with Morena in Nuevo León would have a significant impact on the political dynamics of the state. The coordinator of Morena legislators, Ricardo Monreal, has also expressed that this issue will be analyzed in the coming months.
