Mexico's Ambassador Responds to Criticism About Security

The president of the state Congress of Nuevo León, Lorena de la Garza, responded to comments about the diplomatic headquarters by challenging the state government to express its opinions directly. For her part, Ambassador Diana Alarcón emphasized her commitment to Mexicans in all areas.

Amid rumors about possible changes in the Mexican representation at the World Bank, there is speculation about Diana Alarcón moving to the iconic 1911 Pennsylvania Avenue. Despite efforts from the "Mexico embraces you" strategy, in collaboration with the government and the private sector, concerns persist about the safety of the thousands of Mexicans who will be repatriated.

In response to the growing controversy, Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma spoke out about the tensions between the state government and the Mexican representation in Washington DC. Meanwhile, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of the Interior, continues to face challenges posed by Donald Trump by offering hugs as gestures of reconciliation.

In a message lasting more than seven minutes, Moctezuma highlighted his efforts to improve relations between Biden and Palacio Nacional. However, the ambassador faces criticism for his communication style, perceived as more oriented toward social media than establishing effective channels between different political actors.
