Rodrigo Márquez Responds to 'Fofo' Sentencing

Rodrigo, the brother of 'Fofo' Márquez, recently made statements about the aggression committed by the influencer against Edith 'N', despite having previously said he would not speak further on the case. 'Fofo' was found guilty of attempted feminicide and sentenced to 17 and a half years in the Barrientos Penitentiary in the State of Mexico. Rodrigo expressed how he would feel if the victim had been his mother, mentioning that he would like a punishment but would not want the aggressor to spend too much time in prison.

In an interview with host Maca Carriedo, Rodrigo shared his opinion on the punishment of an influencer who hit his mother, highlighting that he would prefer to resolve the situation outside of the courts. He mentioned that if his mother had been the victim, they would seek to pursue the case for the crime of injury rather than attempted feminicide, as in the case of Edith 'N'.

Rodrigo also pointed out that Xóchitl Alcaraz, 'Fofo's mother, would not have made the case public as Edith 'N' did, as she prefers not to be in the public eye. He also stated that if his mother were the victim, they would seek a more discreet solution. After learning of 'Fofo' Márquez's sentence, Rodrigo reacted angrily to the media, although he later apologized for his behavior through a statement on social media.

For her part, Edith 'N', the victim of the aggression, showed a positive reaction to the sentence, indicating that justice had been served in her case, but she also admitted to fearing for her life and the safety of her family. She expressed her concerns about possible reprisals and pointed out those responsible in case of any adverse situation.
