
This afternoon, Wednesday, February 12, the results of the 10 simultaneous searches carried out in Sinaloa were announced. Omar García Harfuch, through his personal account, detailed that 13 firearms were seized in these actions in which the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, the Secretaría de Marina, and the Guardia Nacional participated. Security agents carried out a total of six searches: two in Culiacán, two in Mazatlán, and two in Rosario.
In the municipalities of Culiacán, Mazatlán, and Rosario, 10 simultaneous searches were conducted where 10 properties, 13 firearms, machine guns, and two Barret .50 rifles, 10 vehicles, 3 of which were armored, 12 grenades, 1 grenade launcher, drugs, and cartridges were seized, García Harfuch explained.
Sinaloa continues to be the scene of fights between factions of the Sinaloa cartel, which has led to constant arrests of drug trafficking members. In the shared images, armored vehicles equipped with machine guns used by criminal groups are observed. The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of Mexico informed about the efforts made by security forces in the region.
Regarding the arrests, Eric "N" is linked to a homicide, and Brayan "N" is a member of a criminal cell. Eric "N" was part of a cell linked to drug trafficking and homicides, having an arrest warrant for aggravated homicide related to a case that occurred in a shopping mall in Mexico City in April 2023.
Authorities have also released the image of one of the two persons arrested.
