The Supreme Court of Mexico has ruled that the judicial election will proceed, clarifying that there will be no suspensions in electoral matters. This ruling comes after the court ordered federal judges to review the suspensions they had granted against the judicial election within 24 hours, considering that they should not intervene in electoral decisions of the Federation.
"The judicial election is on," stated the head of state in response to the court's ruling, emphasizing that this latest ruling establishes that there will be no suspensions in electoral matters. The president expressed her position during a press conference, urging everyone to vote on June 1.
The Court recognized the electoral nature of the issue and revoked the imposed sanctions, allowing for the advancement of the provisions of judicial reform in the country. After tensions between the government and the full court, President Claudia Sheinbaum praised the ruling as a positive step for the electoral process.
In this way, the full court accelerated the organization of the elections to be held on June 1, marking a milestone in the development of the Mexican judicial system.
