On Monday, February 17, Christian, accused of the crimes of rape, qualified homicide, and forced disappearance in the case of Mateo Santiago's murder, returned to the dock to determine his linkage to the process.
The previous hearing had been postponed at the request of the defense, which asked for more time to present evidence in their favor. During the initial hearing, held on February 12, charges were brought against Christian for the three aforementioned crimes.
