Christian's Hearing in the Mateo Santiago Case

The lawyers for Mateo's family denied reports suggesting that the minor was working for Christian, asserting that this information is false. The family has expressed their concern about the re-victimization during the judicial process and hopes that justice will prevail in this case.

It is expected that this hearing will determine whether Christian will be linked to the process for the crimes attributed to him. On Monday, February 17, Christian, accused of the crimes of rape, qualified homicide, and forced disappearance in the case of Mateo Santiago's murder, returned to the dock to determine his linkage to the process.

The previous hearing had been postponed at the request of the defense, which asked for more time to present evidence in their favor. During the initial hearing, held on February 12, charges were brought against Christian for the three aforementioned crimes.
