Miguel Ángel Yunes Márquez, former mayor of Boca del Río, joined Morena after withdrawing his appeal against his expulsion from the PAN, resigning from 20 years of membership in that party. His decision was made at a public event accompanied by Adán Augusto López and Gerardo Fernández Noroña.
The former Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, celebrated Yunes Márquez's affiliation with Morena and highlighted his participation in key moments for the party. During the event, 44 Morena senators also joined in a closed-door ceremony.
