In the municipality of Escobedo, considered the birthplace of the 4T Norteña, a significant effort is being made by the municipal government in the reconstruction of the social fabric. Alejandra Fernández Garza, president of Telar A.C., highlighted the work being done and expressed the desire for this model to be replicated in other regions.

On the other hand, Jorge Atilano González Candia praised the mayor for leading this initiative, demonstrating that it is possible to actively involve all political and social actors for the common benefit of the community. He emphasized the importance of societal participation in building peace and the fundamental role different sectors play in this process.

To ensure the progress of the program, quarterly evaluations will be conducted in the communities to measure changes, especially regarding safety. Escobedo joins the National Strategy for Peace by establishing the Municipal Council for the Reconstruction of the Social Fabric, where the government and society will work together to promote peace in the communities.

The installation of this council took place in the Villas de San Francisco neighborhood, where Mayor Andrés Mijes, along with Alejandra Fernández Garza and Jorge Atilano González Candia, swore in the members of this new body. The council includes municipal officials, religious associations, representatives from the educational sector, civil society organizations, businesses, and neighbors.

The objective of the Municipal Council for the Reconstruction of the Social Fabric is to reduce violence rates in the municipality by strengthening community identity and social ties through policies aimed at promoting a culture of peace. Andrés Mijes emphasized that in Escobedo, efforts are being made to consolidate a shared vision and a collective commitment, where the social fabric is key to driving meaningful change in society.
