The Citizen Movement has proposed to increase sanctions to up to 20 years of imprisonment and fines of 10,000 UMAS to reinforce the Kuri Law, which regulates the access of children and adolescents to social media and punishes grooming. Teresita Calzada Rovirosa expressed her support for this initiative and mentioned that she will seek to integrate these proposals into the discussion regarding the law presented before the Senate and the local Congress.
"We agree, but we want to strengthen the criminal aspect; we will raise this discussion," said Calzada Rovirosa. She also mentioned that both at the local and national levels, representatives of the Orange Movement will support these protective measures for this sector of the population. She acknowledged that this debate will provoke various positions, including some opposition as it involves a right, but emphasized that regulation is an advantage, something that has already been implemented in other countries.
