The journalist points out that Guzmán Salazar fears being arrested due to pressures from the U.S. government to curb drug trafficking and with the recent designation of Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations.
Montenegro mentions that possibly one of the operators of Los Chapitos, Óscar Noé Medina González, alias ‘El Panu’, could be captured in the coming days, as the DEA offers a reward of 4 million dollars for him. Montenegro claims that alliances have been registered between the Guzmán family and other criminal organizations, with agreements made with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel by Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar and Jassiel Abdiel Guzmán Araujo.
