Terror Under Mario González's Rule in Teocaltiche

In Teocaltiche, Jalisco, a climate of fear has been generated due to the actions of Mario González, alias La Flama or Marito, who is considered an important drug trafficker linked to the Sinaloa Cartel. This individual has positioned himself as a drug lord in the region, which has been affected by the presence of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Mario González is the son of Mario González Gutiérrez, known as Don Mario, who was a close collaborator of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. After his father's death, Mario inherited the control of the plaza and maintains connections with Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, also known as El Chapito.

The Attorney General's Office of the State of Jalisco has confirmed that the human remains found in Teocaltiche correspond to four of the eight police officers who were reported missing on February 18th. These agents had left for Guadalajara to undergo control and trust exams but never reached their destination.

The missing police officers have been identified as Guadalupe Durán Villalpando, Jorge Luis Rodríguez Cruz, Ernesto Alonso González, José Antonio Cruz Ponce, Miguel Orozco Ramírez, José Ignacio Jáuregui Pérez, Gustavo Vivas Oropeza, and Luis Isaac Morán Ruvalcaba. Alongside them was a civilian, Luis Fernando Gómez Aguirre, who was driving the truck they were traveling in.

Authorities continue search efforts to locate the five individuals who remain missing, including four members of the Police Department and one civilian. The day after the disappearance, black bags containing human remains were found, and it was confirmed that these belonged to the victims.
