Rosalinda Ávalos, a former investigative police officer, has made a serious complaint in San Luis Potosí. According to her testimony, one of the candidates selected by the State Congress for the Judiciary would be implicated with the criminals who murdered her two children in 2020, and is now seeking to become a judge to release the responsible parties. The tragedy that Rosalinda experienced took place on November 11, 2020, when several men broke into her home and opened fire on her three children, resulting in the deaths of Carlos, 20 years old, and Daniela, 18 years old. Her eldest daughter survived with a gunshot wound to the arm. The former police officer recounted that upon returning home after receiving a desperate call from her daughter, she found her children brutally murdered. Rosalinda worked for more than 25 years as an investigative police officer in the San Luis Potosí Prosecutor's Office. According to her claims, the attack occurred after discovering a network of complicity between some police officers and organized crime, which she refers to as the 'Ministerial Cartel.' She claims that, despite trying to report the situation, she was not heard and began receiving threats against herself and her children. Following a series of complaints, the Political Coordination Board of the San Luis Potosí Congress removed Sabas Santiago Ipiña Ramírez from the list of candidates for the Judiciary. Rosalinda accused Ipiña Ramírez of being involved in the death of her children and seeking to manipulate judicial processes to favor those responsible, alleging that he belonged to the 'Ministerial Cartel' and that his intention was to free those who killed her children. Rosalinda clarified that, in addition to her accusations, Ipiña Ramírez did not meet the requirement of having five years of litigation experience, as he retired due to injury and was pensioned in 2021. The former police officer lamented what happened and stated that she will continue to fight for justice to prevail and hold those responsible for her children's murder accountable.
