
Three people, identified as Janeth de la O Ochoa, Moisés Zarate Cruz, and Luis Armando González de la O, have been sentenced to 170 years in prison for the murder of two agents from the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico. Agents Magdalena Peláez Santiago and Raúl Ramírez Maldonado lost their lives while participating in an operation in the municipality of Jilotzingo to capture an individual accused of homicide.
The investigation details that the incident occurred on March 22, 2024, during a joint operation between the State of Mexico Investigative Police, the National Guard, and the state Security Secretariat. Upon arriving at the residence where the alleged criminal Armando "N" was located, the accused opened fire on the agents, resulting in the deaths of the two officers and injuries to two other personnel.
Armando "N" died in the confrontation, while Janeth de la O Ochoa, Moisés Zarate Cruz, and Luis Armando González de la O were arrested and charged with homicide. After appearing before the Public Prosecutor's Office, they were accused of homicide against public servants and attempted homicide.
The three convicted individuals were sent to the Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center of the area after the judge reviewed the evidence presented by the Public Prosecutor's Office. In addition to the 170-year prison sentence, they were imposed economic fines and ordered to pay for the damages caused. Furthermore, their civil and political rights were suspended as part of the sentence.
