Sergio VG and his companion were traveling in a white Hummer truck on the Juventino Rosas-Salamanca bypass when they were intercepted by a truck with armed men, according to witnesses. The assailants fired repeatedly at Sergio VG and his companion, resulting in the death of Sergio VG, who was driving the vehicle at the time. The incident occurred near the Hemicycle of the composer Juventino Rosas.
Sergio VG, known for his channel ‘Extremo Paranormal’, was originally from Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosas and had gained popularity in the digital community thanks to his content on paranormal cases. Prior to his tragic death, Sergio VG had reported on social media that someone had tried to damage his vehicle and threatened him.
After the attack, Sergio VG's vehicle was left stranded on the bypass towards Salamanca, while the attackers fled. The National Guard and the Municipal Police arrived at the scene, and Sergio VG’s death was confirmed due to bullet wounds. At the crime scene, expended shells from high-caliber weapons were found.
Sergio VG was an influencer with over 134 thousand subscribers on YouTube and was also active on TikTok. His death adds to a series of cases of murdered influencers in 2025. Sergio VG’s companion managed to exit the truck although he was seriously injured. The armed attack took place around 11:00 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
