Uriel Carmona Sánchez, father of the former prosecutor of Morelos Uriel Carmona Gándara, decided to break the silence and publicly denounce the harassment and persecution that, according to him, his family has suffered in recent months. In a video dated March 2, but released in the early minutes of March 3, Carmona Sánchez requested President Claudia Sheinbaum to stop the harassment and intimidation against his family.
"My family and I are tired of the harassment, the pressure, and the terror we have been subjected to. We do not want to make things worse, but it is time for this family to be left in peace, for them to stop fabricating illegal things," expressed Carmona Sánchez. He also warned that any accusation against him or his family must be handled according to the law.
The father of the former prosecutor mentioned that since February 7, his family has been under constant surveillance by vehicles with false plates, drones, and individuals stationed near their home. He held these individuals, as well as the prosecutors of Morelos, Mexico City, and the Republic, responsible for any situation that could affect his family.
Carmona Sánchez called directly on President Sheinbaum to intervene and put an end to the harassment, requesting that all involved authorities respect the law. He also informed that since his son's resignation as prosecutor, his sister has been substituting him in his functions.
In his message, Carmona Sánchez emphasized that his son no longer holds the position of prosecutor and requested to meet with his wife to directly present the situation to Sheinbaum. The released video aims to shed light on the harassment and persecution situation that, according to the Carmona family, they have recently faced.
