Fox Sports Mexico Takes Legal Action Against Grupo Pachuca

The company Fox Sports Mexico has decided to take legal action against Grupo Pachuca and Fox Corporation, causing a stir in the world of Mexican football. According to Fox Sports Mexico, both entities have entered into contracts that violate previously agreed-upon broadcasting rights, thus triggering a legal conflict.

In an official statement, Fox Sports Mexico declared: "We have been forced to take legal action to safeguard our broadcasting rights for the matches of the Pachuca and León teams (Grupo Pachuca), due to conduct we consider arbitrary and abusive by Fox Corporation and Grupo Pachuca."

The sports network accuses Grupo Pachuca and Fox Corporation, through their subsidiary Tubi, of having signed contracts for the broadcasting of the Pachuca and León matches without respecting the right of first refusal of Fox Sports, causing, according to them, "damages and losses."

In response, Fox Sports has filed commercial lawsuits against both groups, obtaining a precautionary measure that prohibits Grupo Pachuca from delivering the signal of the matches to Fox Corporation or Tubi until a final resolution is issued.

Fox Sports expressed its regret for any inconvenience this controversy may cause to Mexican football fans, reiterating its commitment to defend its rights and promote legality in the sports field. The company is committed to continue fighting for its interests before the appropriate authorities, always prioritizing the well-being of fans and compliance with regulations in the sports broadcasting market in Mexico.
