Cuauhtémoc Blanco escapes from the impeachment in the Chamber

The Instruction Section of the Chamber of Deputies rejected this Thursday to begin the process of removal against Cuauhtémoc Blanco. The votes against came from Hugo Eric Flores, Adriana Belinda Quiroz from the Morena parliamentary group, and Raúl Bolaños-Cacho Cue from the Green Party. In contrast, the PAN, represented by Germán Martínez, supported proceeding with the political trial.

The local Prosecutor's Office also opened an investigation against Cuauhtémoc Blanco after a half-sister accused him of attempted rape. Despite this, the complaints filed by the Morelos government did not prosper, and Blanco will continue to perform his duties as a federal deputy.

Legal troubles for Cuauhtémoc Blanco began when his successor, Margarita González Saravia, the current governor of Morelos, denounced him for an alleged embezzlement of nearly 40 million pesos from the state, claiming irregularities in various local government agencies and bodies.

The tension between Morena and the Green Party temporarily decreased as both voted against starting the political trial against Cuauhtémoc Blanco. This decision allows Blanco to remain as a federal deputy, despite the accusations against him for economic crimes and an alleged attempted rape.

In summary, despite the accusations and complaints against him, Cuauhtémoc Blanco will continue in his role as a federal deputy since his party and allies rejected proceeding with the removal process against him.
