Strengthening Justice and Security in Mexico

The meeting between García Harfuch and the FBI director aims to enhance bilateral collaboration in justice and community security, strengthening the response to crimes.


The head of the Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City, Omar García Harfuch, met with the director of the FBI to strengthen bilateral cooperation on justice and security issues. During the meeting, strategies were discussed to improve cooperation between both institutions and reinforce the fight against transnational crime.

In this regard, García Harfuch highlighted the importance of working together to combat the various crimes that affect both countries, emphasizing the need to share information and resources to achieve more effective results. It was also agreed to establish closer cooperation mechanisms that allow for greater coordination in addressing cases of mutual interest.

The FBI director expressed his willingness to continue collaborating with Mexican authorities in developing strategies that contribute to strengthening security and justice in the region. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining a fluid and constant dialogue to effectively address the security challenges faced by both countries.

Regarding the meeting, García Harfuch stated: "We are committed to continuing to strengthen international cooperation to combat crime and ensure the safety of citizens. By working together, we can achieve better results and tackle the challenges we face in security matters."
