Members of the collective of missing persons, 'Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco', reported the discovery of three cremation ovens used by organized crime to dispose of bodies in the locality of La Estanzuela, municipality of Teuchitlán, Jalisco.

The Izaguirre ranch in Teuchitlán, where the ovens were found, had previously been intervened by the Jalisco prosecutor's office on two occasions in the last five months. In January, it was secured because the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) was using it as a clandestine training center.

Over 400 pairs of shoes and clothing were discovered at the site, suggesting the presence of at least 200 victims. Burnt human remains, 96 shell casings of various calibers, three magazines for high-caliber firearms, and an altar with images of Santa Muerte surrounded by candles were also found.

The state's attorney general, Salvador González de los Santos, acknowledged that his office had already intervened in the area last September and January, but at that time the ovens were not located due to the size of the property. The information provided by the collective of searching families was necessary to pinpoint the exact location where the remains were found.

In previous inspections, the human remains found were hidden under a layer of dirt and a brick slab, making their detection difficult. In addition to the human remains and tactical devices, clothing, footwear, backpacks, personal hygiene products, suitcases, and various objects related to disappearances were recovered, such as homemade exercise equipment, ropes, and old tires.

The Izaguirre ranch has been the scene of two previous interventions. In September 2024, following an armed confrontation, ten alleged criminals were arrested, three people were rescued, and a body was secured. The second intervention, last January, revealed that the ranch operated as a clandestine training center for the CJNG, resulting in the detention of 38 individuals, the seizure of weapons, and the liberation of 36 individuals who were victims of forced recruitment.
