The mayor of Naucalpan, Isaac Montoya Márquez, led a contingent of thousands of neighbors who gathered in different communities to reach the Zócalo of Mexico City. The purpose of the meeting was to support the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and to unite in defense of the country's sovereignty.
The large group of residents of Naucalpan, located right next to the Palace of Fine Arts, began their march towards the Zócalo with Montoya Márquez at the forefront. The participants chanted slogans in support of the president, such as 'Claudia listen, Naucalpan is in your fight,' as they moved forward.
Montoya Márquez expressed his full support for the decisions of the federal government in defense of Mexico against the uncertainties and pressures from the United States government. He highlighted the importance of supporting the president's decisions for the benefit of the Mexican people and not allowing abuses against citizens, both Mexican and of other nationalities.
The mayor reiterated that Mexico, as a people, has significantly contributed to the United States, especially through Mexicans residing in that country. In a message prior to the informational assembly, Montoya Márquez expressed his support for Sheinbaum Pardo, who was once a neighbor of Naucalpan, and continued leading the march until they reached the Zócalo square.
The unity of the Mexican people became evident during the mobilization, with the streets near the Zócalo crowded with people carrying banners with slogans like 'the united people will never be defeated.' Montoya Márquez praised the leadership of President Sheinbaum Pardo, emphasizing her honesty, clarity, and ethics, characteristics that, according to him, reflect the historical process of the Fourth Transformation.
The municipal president emphasized that Mexico is a brave and hardworking nation and thanked the free and conscious support of the neighbors of Naucalpan in this display of solidarity towards the president and the defense of national sovereignty.
