The mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, revealed that she is in constant communication with the Secretary of Security and the Attorney General of the Republic regarding the case of the three clandestine ovens discovered in Teuchitlán, Jalisco. Sheinbaum emphasized that collaboration among authorities is crucial in situations like this.
Regarding the possibility of the case being taken over by the federation, Sheinbaum mentioned that it is under evaluation. She highlighted that it is the responsibility of the security cabinet, the attorneys general, and eventually the courts or the Judiciary to conduct a thorough and detailed investigation.
The mayor also informed that the Attorney General's Office of Jalisco had initially intervened at the site, although it had not secured the area adequately. Sheinbaum expressed her concern about the lack of protection at the crime scene and underscored the importance of determining what occurred.
Sheinbaum emphasized that the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, is in communication with the federal government to address this shocking case. The mayor described the discovery of the ovens as "terrible" and expressed her dismay at the disappearance and recruitment of people by organized crime in the Teuchitlán region of Jalisco.
