
The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Jalisco, in collaboration with the National Guard (GN), carried out a security operation in southern Jalisco that resulted in the recovery and seizure of vehicles with various irregularities, as well as the detention of a person driving a vehicle reported as stolen.
During the inspection operations at fixed and mobile checkpoints in the municipalities of Pihuamo, Zapotlán el Grande, and adjacent areas, several vehicles with irregularities were identified, among which were seized:
- Mitsubishi L200 with a theft report, whose driver was detained. - Kia Sportage with a theft report. - White Honda CRV with altered identification numbers. - Gray Honda CRV with a theft report. - BDS motorcycle with overlapping plates.
Additionally, during a search conducted at a property in Pihuamo, more vehicles with theft reports or overlapping plates were detected and recovered, which included:
- Hyundai Tucson with a theft report. - Ram truck with a theft report. - Ford truck with overlapping plates. - Ranger truck with overlapping plates. - Honda CRV with overlapping plates and a theft report, where items such as a "tire puncturer" and a shell were found. The property was secured by the State Attorney General's Office, and investigations continue to identify those responsible. In a previous instance on February 5 in Tonalá, vehicles with theft reports were also recovered in a "clandestine parking lot."
The FGE stated that these operations will continue at various points in the state to ensure the safety and well-being of the community, in pursuit of achieving a safer environment for all.
