Federal deputy Raúl Bolaños-Cacho Cué, who is part of the Instruction Section, explained that according to the Law of Responsibilities of Public Servants, once a complaint is received in that section, the legal deadlines begin to run. He emphasized that the former footballer Cuauhtémoc Blanco has been notified of the existence of the complaint, and since then a period of 30 days has been opened for the presentation of evidence by the parties involved.
He stressed that due process, rights, and the confidentiality of the case are being respected, and that a gender perspective is being considered in the analysis. Bolaños-Cacho added that it is not about debating whether to admit the complaint or not, since once it exists, it is notified to the accused and the legal deadlines to present evidence, in this case, 30 days, begin to run.
Regarding another deputy's statements about the refusal to admit the complaint, deputy Raúl Bolaños-Cacho clarified that it is not about voting on the acceptance or rejection of the complaint, as the law establishes the deadlines from the existence of it. He emphasized that the proper processes are being followed in the case of the impeachment of deputy Cuauhtémoc Blanco and that a resolution is expected in the next 60 days, according to current law.
Within the framework of discussions in the JUCOPO, Raúl Bolaños-Cacho assured that in the Instruction Section they strictly adhere to the law and rights, stating that it is not their role to decide whether to admit a complaint against any legislator.
