Senator Waldo Fernández expressed his determination to support the 'Youth Building the Future' Program following its elevation to constitutional status, highlighting its relevance in providing growth opportunities for Mexican youth. Fernández emphasized that over the years, young people with no prospects have been unfairly criticized, but today the Legislative Power reaffirms its commitment to them through this constitutional reform.

In his statements, Fernández mentioned that the Youth Building the Future Program has been the subject of negative campaigns, misinformation, and injustices, despite representing a crucial opportunity for those facing marginalization and violence. He highlighted that this initiative, developed by former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum, provides an opportunity for those seeking to grow and prosper in life.

Additionally, the senator shared his personal experience to underscore the positive impact that a scholarship had on his mother's life, emphasizing that the current government is committed to providing similar opportunities to new generations. He also highlighted that the main companies in the country have benefited from having young people incorporated through the program, who have acquired a trade and found a path to social mobility.

Fernández stressed that for a long time, young people in Mexico were left helpless, but currently, the Senate of the Republic reaffirms its support for them. In this regard, he stated that this initiative is a demonstration that the Legislative Power and the Fourth Transformation are fulfilling their commitments to Mexican youth.
