On March 12, 2025, federal and state authorities dismantled a narcolaboratory in Santa Ana Ixtlahuaca, recovering 70 kilos of synthetic drugs and equipment for production, showcasing their commitment to combat drug-related crime.

In the municipality of Santa Ana Ixtlahuaca, State of Mexico, a joint operation carried out on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, by federal and state authorities resulted in the dismantling of a drug lab and the seizure of 70 kilos of synthetic drugs ready for distribution. The site was discovered as a clandestine laboratory used for the manufacturing of narcotics.

Upon arriving at the site, security agents found three wooden structures and sheets used in the production of drugs, in addition to the 70 kilos of synthetic narcotic. In a coordinated effort within the framework of the National Security Strategy, security forces worked together to dismantle this facility dedicated to the production of synthetic narcotics.

Participating in the operation were the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), the Secretary of National Defense (Defense), the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), the National Guard (GN), and the Secretary of State Security of Mexico. In addition to the seized drugs, materials such as alcohols, toluene, acetone, chlorine, various chemicals, tubs, mixers, scales, blenders, peroxide, and other equipment used in the production of illicit substances were confiscated.

The property where the drug lab operated was secured and put under police protection, while the public prosecutor's agent was notified to initiate the relevant investigations. This security action reflects the commitment of federal and local authorities in the fight against organized crime to ensure peace in the country.

The success of this operation highlights the importance of coordination between the different security institutions, which continue to work together to eradicate the manufacturing and distribution of synthetic drugs throughout the national territory.
