In Jalisco, Governor Pablo Lemus emphasizes the importance of addressing the disappearance crisis in Mexico. Authorities are collaborating to resolve the Teuchitlán case with federal support.


Governor of Jalisco Addresses Disappearance Crisis

The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, communicated that state authorities, such as the General Prosecutor's Office of the State and the State Police, are collaborating with the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the National Intelligence Center, and the Attorney General's Office of the Republic to clarify the Teuchitlán case and define responsibilities. The FGR has become involved in this case.

Lemus highlighted the support received from the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, since she took office in December 2024. He assured that both governments are working together to resolve the Teuchitlán case, despite the fact that the events took place during their respective terms.

The governor emphasized the importance of addressing the crisis of disappearances in Mexico as a priority for the authorities of the country. Joint actions have been agreed upon with the Federal Government to investigate the case in Teuchitlán, and the National Search Commission will join efforts at Rancho Izaguirre.

In the context of the investigation in Teuchitlán, Pablo Lemus has held meetings with the Secretary of Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, and the Secretary of Security, Omar García Harfuch. The collaboration of the State Commission on Human Rights has also been requested. The National Search Commission of the Secretary of Interior will participate in the investigations at Rancho Izaguirre, along with other institutions and collectives in Jalisco.
