The Superior Auditor of the Federation, David Colmenares Páramo, and Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, head of the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, have signed a collaboration agreement seeking to promote transparency and accountability. This initiative establishes the guidelines to be followed in terms of auditing and was supported by other officials from both institutions, such as Admiral Francisco Guillermo Escamilla Cázarez and the Special Auditor for Financial Compliance, Claudia María Bazúa Witte, among others.
To ensure the effective execution of the commitments made, Rear Admiral María Patricia Camacho Reyes was designated as a high-level liaison with the Superior Auditor of the Federation. One of the key aspects of the agreement is the creation of inter-institutional working groups that will facilitate the agile exchange of information related to auditing activities, covering from planning to follow-up of reports until December 2025.
Additionally, it was agreed to improve the flow of information regarding actions taken by the ASF directed to the Semar in the context of auditing the Public Account. Strategies will be established to effectively meet the objectives of auditing and transparency. Colmenares Páramo committed to providing training in auditing to the staff of the Secretariat of the Navy to ensure better performance and efficiency in responding to information requests.
Through this collaboration, both institutions reinforce their commitment to transparency, legality, accountability, and proper management of the Public Account.
