Revelations about the kidnapping case in Mexico

Xóchitl Gálvez laments that, despite having publicly defended the Judiciary, it took more than 10 years to issue a ruling in the case of her sister Jaqueline Malinali Gálvez Ruiz. The latter was sentenced to 89 years in prison for her alleged participation in a kidnapping committed in 2012.

The sister of the former senator is accused of being the mastermind behind the kidnapping of Marcela Patricia Flores Domínguez and her driver. It has been indicated that Jaqueline Malinali belonged to a kidnapping gang known as Los Tolmex, which operated in the State of Mexico and the then Federal District. The organization kept the victims in cages, mutilated them, and exerted psychological pressure on their relatives for ransom payments.

Xóchitl Gálvez has expressed her concern regarding what she considers irregularities in her sister's case. She claims that Jaqueline was in another location when the kidnapping occurred and that she was not present at the release of the victims. Furthermore, she has reported that the only relevant evidence against her, a statement obtained under torture, is fabricated and therefore illegitimate.

The former presidential candidate demands justice and reiterates that she has no connection to the case, aside from being the sister of the accused. Xóchitl Gálvez has filed an appeal against the 89-year prison sentence imposed on Jaqueline Malinali and has condemned any act that has affected the kidnapping victims.
