Concern Over Izaguirre Ranch Case and Government Strategy

In an interview, security consultant David Saucedo expressed concerns over the government's handling of the Izaguirre Ranch case linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. He fears a repeat of the Ayotzinapa case with media suppression and a lack of transparency in investigations.

Concern Over Izaguirre Ranch Case and Government Strategy

In an interview for Aristegui en Vivo, public security consultant David Saucedo expressed his concern about the official treatment of the Izaguirre Ranch case, linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). An extermination site and criminal training camp are being investigated, and Saucedo fears that authorities want the topic to fade from the media, emulating past strategies like in the Ayotzinapa case.

According to Saucedo, the federal government might try to regulate so that the news loses relevance and elements of evidence are dismissed, avoiding external scrutiny. This situation with the Izaguirre ranch could become a new problem similar to the Ayotzinapa case for Claudia Sheinbaum's administration.

Regarding Sheinbaum's statements about "dirty campaigns," Saucedo emphasized that the most important thing is to clarify what happened at the ranch and to conduct a convincing investigation, independent of federal authorities. He acknowledged that both the government and the opposition are adopting extreme positions that complicate the resolution of the problem.

Saucedo assured that the video disseminated, where an armed group denies responsibility for the events at Isaguirre Ranch, corresponds to the CJNG. His team authenticated the material and stated that a person in the video has participated in previous statements recognized as part of that criminal organization. Visible weapons were identified that had already been shown in other videos from the criminal group.

The consultant explained that the criminal group attempts to control damage and contain its image with a message of peace, claiming to pacify regions. However, the discovery of the extermination center contradicts that narrative and shows a strategy of "image containment and damage control."

Saucedo also commented that satellite images suggesting the presence of structures similar to crematoria at Izaguirre Ranch correspond to spaces found in other regions of the country. The Attorney General's Office will be the entity responsible for issuing official information about the results of the investigation.
