On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the tragic murder of a mother on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway was made public. The woman was run over by several individuals after a traffic altercation between the occupants of two vehicles heading towards Mexico City.
A mother lost her life while trying to protect her children at the known La Pera curve of the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway. Three of her children were injured by gunfire during the incident, leaving a tragic toll in its wake.
The fateful event occurred when the two vehicles were traveling on the highway, and upon reaching the famous curve, several individuals traveling in a Volkswagen Derby intentionally collided with a silver Mazda. Without a word being exchanged, the armed individuals got out of the Volkswagen and opened fire on three men in the Mazda, among whom was the mother of the victims.
In an attempt to calm the situation, the woman got out of the car, but unfortunately, the attackers ran her over with their vehicle, tragically taking her life. The perpetrators of the attack managed to escape to Mexico City, while authorities arrived at the scene to cordon off the area and carry away the body of the deceased mother.
This incident, which caused severe traffic congestion at kilometer 61 of the highway, has yet to result in any arrests by the authorities, leaving the family devastated by the violent and cruel action perpetrated against them.
